“Liquidmerit is not a philosophy but a process to liquify the education module through blockchain. The purpose of the liquid merit is to work and achieve the SDG #4.”
Dr. Merit, Ambassador of Liquidmerit.
EDUCATION FOR ALL
Liquid Merit is a democratic open forum which engage institutions, tutors and learners and facilitate open education for all. The forum is powered by blockchain and operates through an education token-Liquid Merit token (LMT). The purpose of the forum is to achieve the equal opportunity of education for all and reach the sustainable goal #4 of the United Nation.
Liquid Merit technology is a blockchain based platform and ecosystem that enables efficient peer to peer online education which targets to achieve this sustainable development goal #4. The platform operates through the use of of Liquid Merit Tokens (LMT), these are used for running the online course, certificate and transcript issuance process by providing the gas for certificate, transcript and other services within the ecosystem.
Using Merit Coins, Liquidmerit can design and run reward schemes that use digital currencies and vouchers. Further, these coins are transparent, auditable and tradable for goods and services in both Liquidmerit Platform and non-liquidmerit Platforms.
The coins used are an ERC -20 token so that it can operate as Trust Management Systems among individuals and organizations. Trust Management is an area of information technology that aims to improve the operation of open distributed systems behavior of their users. When applied to users, Trust Management methods attempt to leverage the human capacity for social trust or distrust.
With Blockchain reward and investment scheme with Merit coins, communities can run decentralized incentives and reward structures in terms of tolerance to risk. It allows Liquidmerit to engage in transactions that have a real-world desirable impact and produce and construct collectively. At the same time, it allows for complete democratic oversight of transaction history and collective deliberation on social currency systems, i.e. the rules of trade and reward as a function of reputation management.
